After a light breakfast, we took off from the road
and headed southwards again. The weather was good, so we kept going until our stomachs suggested we land for lunch. At Elandsbaai, the hotel was right on the beach, so after making sure the sand wasn't too soft, we
landed, secured the wings and walked into the bar for a light lunch. There was a Christmas lunch on in the dining room and they were playing Boeremusiek (traditional farmers music) very loud. Problem was their
selection was bloody awful, so we kept having to walk outside to give our ears and souls a rest.
We got back to the trikes just as the waves started
to lap against the wingtips. We rushed to get airborne before the tide came right in and drowned the trikes.
We passed Lamberts Bay and Saldanha and started
looking for a suitable place to land and camp for the night. Eventually, with Cape Town and Table Mountain in sight we landed on a little road at Grotto Bay, where we set up camp.
