I never saw Nancy again until last Sunday, in San Jose,
the capital city of Costa Rica.
We had developed an amusing and friendly relation via
the Internet during the past months preceding the expedition departure, sending each other funny notes via email. Last month while flying in Chile she asked us if she could join our dual party for some days during
our expedition. It was so spontaneous; we loved it to pieces and naturally sent her a large YES. That is what we call courage and enthusiasm! We said yes of course, but with the condition that we would share
everything. Timing was excellent and we arrived from Panama two days before her. I decided to fetch her with the microlight in order to give a dramatic boost to that sunny romance, even before anything
possible started. She almost jumped from the Boeing to the Voyageur after flying all the way from Munich to the wild beaches of Samara. The flight back took us 2 hours over the green hills and bubbly cumulus, and
later deserted beaches of the Guanacaste Peninsula where the Flying Camp is located. The whole day has been wonderful.
