Mike's Pilot Log: South to South Adventure

We flew to a glider airfield called America

We were up early, packed the trikes and flew to a glider airfield called America, 25 km away. We had an enthusiastic welcome and were able to dry all our gear, including all our aeronautical charts. We were invited to lunch in the clubhouse by the club members and after a few hours were ready to go on. The club members filled our tanks for us ….. a very generous gesture of support.

We flew on to Santa Rosa and after a 2 hour flight landed at the local Aeroclub airfield. Again we had a great reception. After unpacking our trikes we had an opportunity to catch up on some maintenance (I had to modify my helmet to improve the comfort). We were treated to a great dinner – the Argentineans are great meat eaters – we went to a local restaurant for "carne" – meat.
