Mike's Pilot Log: South to South Adventure

We were starting to get flying fit and used to our new way of life.

In the morning about 20 people arrived for a flight in our trikes. After taking everyone for a quick flight, we were on our way again.

The weather was pleasant, a little cloud, and a light headwind. Our first stop was at an airfield near to the town of General Acha. We had lunch and a short rest and were soon on our way again.

We were starting to get flying fit and used to our new way of life. The flight was really enjoyable.

Two hours later, we flew over a small town with a large petrol station on the main road and knowing that we were about to fly over the northern part of Patagonia and the arid area of the Pampa, decided to land and fill up. The townsfolk were delighted at having 2 strange flying machines land in their midst.

We wanted to try and reach General Roca, but the sun was going down and we didn't want to land in the dark – so we decided to land in the road and camp the night in the desert. It was a great evening. During the night 3 trucks went past us on the road – that was all.
